We are a private and small show/breeding home who specializes EXCLUSIVELY in the exquisite imported Miniature in Longhair and Wirehair varieties.

Our dogs are all registered with the AKC, and when litters are available, offered as show prospect and companion quality. We do NOT breed specifically for the pet market or sale to pet stores or puppy mills. Our primary reason in having a litter is in hopes of producing our next show ring superstar; and for those who are evaluated as companion quality, placed into appropriate homes as loving companions, required to be altered at the appropriate time.

Our select show prospects and companions are available occasionally to approved show homes upon a carefully planned mating.

We feel it is our duty as avid and passionate show breeder enthusiasts and responsible ambassadors of the Dachshund breed to only breed dogs who either meet or exceed the AKC breed standard in our breeding program.

Our goals are to excel in the attempt to make the Dachshund breed the best it can be, and to take an active part in a contribution to the betterment of our chosen breed. We have taken careful consideration in our foundation bloodlines and take great pride in our Dachshunds who closely parallel the AKC breed standard for Structure, Temperament and Performance. UPDATE: On Feb. 28th "Sam" (CH Rabbit Runs Yosemite Sam Ceedox) took Best of Winners for his final single point needed for his AKC Champion title. Thank you to Mr. Norman L. Patton for awarding this outstanding dog. We look forward to Sam's future at BadgerCreek.

UPDATE: Our bred-by puppy "Gromit" (BadgerCreek's Acclaim for Fame) was awarded his very first points from the 6-9 puppy class at the San Mateo KC on March 22. We are thrilled with his sucessful start in the conformation ring!
